The SOA certification is the compulsory certification for participation in tenders for the execution of public work contracts. It is necessary and sufficient to prove, during the tender, the ability of the company to perform, directly or in subcontracting, public works with an auction base amount exceeding € 150,000.00; it certifies and guarantees the possession of the construction sector of all the requisites envisaged by the current legislation in the context of Public Works Contracts.
The SOA Certificate is valid for five years (provided that its validity is verified on the third year from its issue) and it is issued following the validation of the documents produced by the company, pertaining to the last ten financial years (ten years of work and the best five exercises in the last ten). It is issued by special Certification Bodies, or companies authorized to operate by the Authority for the Supervision of Public Contracts (AVCP).
